Day 1 arrival Tbilisi
Arrival in Tbilisi International Airport. Transfer to the hotel. Overnight in a hotel in Tbilisi.Day 2 Tbilisi-Mtskheta-Gori-Uplistsikhe-Akhaltsikhe
In the morning visit the ancient capital and religious centre of Georgia – Mtskheta and its historical sights: Jvari Monastery (6th century) and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (11th century) – both UNESCO World Heritage sites. We continue to drive to the town of Gori – the heart of Kartli region. We will have photo stop at Stalin’s museum and continue to Uplistsikhe Cave Town (1st millennium BC), that’s the place where the Great Silk Road used to pass. This is an old and interesting complex with dwelling quarters, wine-cellars, bakeries, a three-nave basilica church hewn out in rock and even an antic theatre. Drive to Akhaltsikhe. Dinner and overnight at a family hotel in Akhaltsikhe.
Day 3 Akhaltsikhe-Zekari pass-Kutaisi
In the morning we`ll visit Rabath castle (closed on Mondays). Here in this recently renovated castle we`ll get aquainted with rich history of the region and will travel in the past. Drive to Kutaisi over Zekari Pass. Dinner and overnight at a family hotel in Kutaisi.
Day 4 Kutaisi-Zugdidi-Mestia
Today we drive to Zugdidi and then Continue to Svaneti, the region of the highest mountains and glaciers and the most abiding ancient traditions. Dinner and overnight at a family hotel in Mestia.
Day 5 Mestia-Ushguli
Drive to Ushguli (2400m). Visit the village and its medieval towers. Enjoy the views of Mt. Shkhara (5068m), the highest summit in Georgia. Take a walk to Lamaria church. Dinner and overnight in a guesthouse in Ushguli (shared facilities).
Day 6 Ushguli-Lentekhi-Kutaisi
Today from village Ushguli we will drive to Lentekhi, through the Great Caucasus mountains. Then continue to Kutaisi.Dinner and overnight at a family hotel in Kutaisi.
Day 7 Kutaisi - Tbilisi
In the morning we drive back to Tbilisi.Overnight at a hotel in Tbilisi.
Day 8 depart Tbilisi
